MFG.com is truly a marketplace where buyers of made-to-order industrial goods create a request for quote (RFQ) complete with their engineering CAD files and technical specifications. The RFQs are automatically matched to suppliers around the globe with the right equipment, expertise and capacity at the right moment in time creating tremendous efficiency and value. The collaboration, quoting, due diligence, awarding of the order and tracking through delivery of the product all happens on the MFG.com platform.

Missions

Sourcing Engineer position is primarily responsible for performing Quality Control review of marketplace Requests For Quotes (RFQs). Also responsible for contacting Engineers/Buyers through outbound calls to obtain additional information on their RFQs and for the building of RFQs for Engineering/Buying organizations from a given data set. • Reviews engineering drawings and designs posted on the MFG.com marketplace to meet internal marketplace quality control requirements for accuracy, correct measurements and other required information. • Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) programs into working marketplace documents. • Ensures adherence to established specifications and standards of manufacturing industry in order to provide company’s customers with sufficient information to produce made to order parts. • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures of the manufacturing industry. • Relies on inst

• Minimum of one year related experience • Manufacturing experience (machining, molding, • casting, fabricating, etc.), industrial product experience (bearings, pumps, motors, valves, etc.) and sourcing experience strongly preferred
